PROFESSIONAL, TRANSFERABLE, EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS
Throughout my three years at Griffith University undertaking my Bachelor of Architectural Design, I have accumulated and developed a strong design skill set. These skills can be transferred into the workplace and have allowed me gain a stronger understanding of the field.

COMMUNICATION
Throughout the duration of my bachelor degree, my critical thinking skills have been pushed and developed. Reflecting on my projects and analysing what I could do to improve or how the task could have been approached differently has helped me develop my critical thinking skills. The design studio subjects have enabled me to now feel confident in my design ability and through processes.
Both verbal and visual communication have been an integral part of the bachelor's degree, more specifically for our design studio subjects. Before commencing my studies, I found myself someone who struggled with public speaking. However, throughout the duration of my degree, I have developed my verbal communication skills. I am confident in speaking in front of larger groups of people and am proficient in speaking clearly and using the correct body language to keep my audience engaged.
Over the course of the three years, we have had a number of group assessments. This has enabled me to extend my skills in being able to work efficiently with others and be open to other ideas and opinions. I have also been exposed to leadership positions within small group projects which has led me to gaining stronger management, planning and organisation. As well as this, working in group environments has strengthened my interpersonal skills.
Time management and organisation has been a crucial factor with all projects and assessments. This degree has pushed me to maintain a balance between my studies, work commitments and social life. Some strategies that I used to ensure completing assessment on time to a high standard included goal setting, planning and prioritising tasks.
PROFESSIONALISM
Maintaining part time employment over the past five years has led me to develop a strong sense of professionalism in both my work life and education. Over the course of the degree, my professionalism has improved even more. Regular design critiques has further taught me about the importance of self presentation.
